Frontporch Pumpkin

Micah walked up to my front door and saw my fall decorations.  He said, "Gramma you should get your camera and take some pictures of me with this pumpkin."  The mind of a 3 year old changes quickly, so I ran to get my camera before that happened.  He was willing to pose and was  very co- operative. He even chose the pumpkin he wanted to hold and was very specific about that.  He loved the indian corn.   Let's see, he wanted me to take pictures, he loves pumpkins and indian corn.....do you think that the excitiment of fallish things is heridetary or was he just humoring me.   Either way, it was a moment that I seized before his 3 year old mind changed.

OH THAT FACE!

The blue eyes, the golden blond curls.  This photo was taken by Grammie Marcia.    He has certainly captured the hearts of his 2 grandmothers!   I know I'm a bit biased, but isn't this an adorable child.

Everything is good in its season....

I do love this time of year, do you?   I'm ready for fall.  Thinking about going to Banducci's Pumpkin Patch makes me giddy. The minute I step through the corn stalked, leaf covered gate I squeal like a little pink piggy at feedin' time.  I see the white pumpkins, the gords, the dried indian corn, the cute wooden wagons filled with jack-be-little's. I have been known to make several trips there. It really is just the cutest punkin' patch EV-AH, and yes, I will blog about my many trips there.  You may want to get your pumpkins early, before I get there..just sayin..

Does Hallmark make a card for this?

Today was Grandparents Day at Micah's preschool.  I do not understand why this is NOT a national holiday.  It is a day where I was encouraged to invade his classroom and playground, even take a million pictures of him washing his hands and eating lunch.  I was even given a gift.  A heart shaped card with his photo in the middle that said.  Happy Grandparents Day love Micah.  Who needs a Hallmark card anyway!

It was that kinda day...

It really is no big surprise to anyone that my first "real" post would contain some photos of Micah.  Wednesday is my day to spend with him.  I ask him what he wanted to do today and his reply..... Let's go to gramma's house and water the lawn, which I think is code for let's play in the sprinkler....that is exactly what we did... and since you can't play in the sprinkler and NOT have an ice cream cone ( at least at my house) we indulged ourselves.  We chased butterflies, we saw a baby lizard, we played Little Miss Muffit.  I got to play Miss Muffit, we saw cat poop (and we don't even own a cat).  Micah asked if that poop came from our dog.  We don't own a dog either.   Warm weather, coolish breeze, blue sky... that kinda day.   But any day I get to play with Micah really is that kinda day.
