A very exciting day for the family.

8 1/2 years ago my nephew, a Deputy Sheriff was killed in the line of duty.  Today a sign was placed along Hwy 99 to honor his memory.  I miss him and cannot believe  has has been gone for that long.  Our family  misses him.  The ceremony was touching tribute to Dan.

And speaking of quilts

I finally finished my granddaughters quilt.  It took for- ev-ah.... I didn't buy enough fabric so I was on a mad search looking for it.  3 stores, 3 online orders later I found it and finished it today.  I am uber excited to give it to her at her birthday party.

Here she is in all her quilt cuteness.

Spring is a-comin'

My quilt obsession.

I am a quilt fanatic.  I LOVE quilts.  I rescue them whenever I can.  I am in the process of making my grandaughter a quilt for her first birthday.  I was browsing pinterest and found these beauties.  There is something so comforting and cozy about quilts.  They just make me happy.
