Bubbles from the new bubble blower gun fun.

A new bubble blower gun was the hit of the day.

Bubbles popped on his head.

Auntie Grace came to play with us.

This boy is stinkin' adorable.

We played with bubbles, walked to the fountain, played cars, watered the flowers, had our picnic lunch. Can't think of a better way to spend  a day than with this cutie pie.

My sous chef...

It was rainy day and we couldn't go outside to play, so we decided to make some cookies for Great -Grampa who hasn't been feeling well.  I had a willing helper who just happens to "love chocolate chips"  (his words).  This is how it went down...
We measured

He watched the mixer spin round and round

Carefully getting the chips ready

He added them like a proper sous chef.

We scooped

We mixed

We baked

And after waiting  patiently for these yummies to cool,

we could no longer contain ourselves.

We tasted

hmmmm, not sure we better taste it again.

These taste great.

After a few bites, he looked at the cookie and said.  "This looks just like the green stealth bomber", not only is he a baker but an artist as well.

Could anything be sweeter?

There is NOTHING more precious than this sweet sleeping child.
I am very blessed to be his Gramma.

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.

'cuz I'm one. hot.  mess !

Gadget Guru or Obsession.

Sing it with me... Seven ice cream scoops
                          Six serving spoons
                          Five  graaaaaavyyyyy    ladels
                          Four metal tongs
                          Three can openers
                          Two citrus juicers
and an egg perfect egg timer..

Today while I was digging for my metal brownie spatula cutter thing-y it occured to  me that I should not  have to "dig" for any tool.  If I need TWO huges drawers to house all of my tools then I have far too many. I am determined to downsize and get rid of some of these gadgets.  How do people live WITHOUT  2 micro-graters, a round flat strainer with 70 holes, a tuna can drainer, egg slicer, meat mallet, potato cleaner brush,  8 corn on the cob holders, potato masher, pastry blender?   I got rid of 1 ice cream scoop and an apple corer.   Baby steps....... I will post pictures of my new, organized tool drawer soon.

Anyone want some Sourdough Specials?

SERIOUSLY... Anything that has to come in a barrel is way too much.  Does anyone need this many pretzels?
Apparently we do,  This is what happens when Nick goes to Costco alone.  Just hope that he is alive long
enough to eat all these.   I don't even like  them, unless they are covered in chocolate.  I guess covering   them in chocolate negates the no saturated fat, no cholesterol, no preservatives claim.  Now if they just sold
Hershey Kisses by the barrel I'd be all over that.

This is for the birds!

Found this adorable birdhouse at Home Goods and had Micah paint on it for me.
The red birdhouse.

The pint-sized picasso pajama protector ( a.k.a. papas tee-shirt)

Proceeding with the painting.

He is painting a red airplane in the sky.

A yellow sunshine and  blue rain was added.

He then added white clouds on the red house

He painted a white bird and a yellow flower.

The red airplane  is  way cute.

Green grass on the ground, white clouds.

The proud painter and his pretty pad.  AdORaBle. Ready to welcome
our feathered  friends.
