and....here is the magnificent boy!

  Another fun day spent with Micah.  He has lots of airplanes and helipcopters. Today we played with his "flying machines" as he calls them. He seems to able to identify each one of them and calls them by name.  F-18 Hornet, Stealth Bomber (which only drops friendly bombs),  Blue Hornet with afterburners...rescue helicopter, etc.  We pretended they were real talking machines and played for about an hour.  He asked if he could have some fruit snacks so that he could share with this his friends, and of course I had my camera at the ready.   Yes, I do have it with me often, it has become my sidekick.  It is times like this that I really am happy that I have it with me so that I was able to capture this cuteness.

A few weeks ago I was looking through one of the many catalogs and mazagines that I receive. A home decorating catalog had these lampshades for 30 dollars each.  I fell in love with them and just had to make them mine.   NO I didn't pay 30 bucks a piece for them, I made my own.  Since I have enough scrap fabric to make a quilt the size of California., I went to cutting and shredding and twisting and wrapping and glueing and TAH-DAH....the end result.   I LOVE how they turned out.

Are these not the cutest little doggies?  I am not a huge dog fan, but saw this pattern and had to buy it.  I am giving each one of the mommies in my MOPS group one for Valentines Day.  Not very valentine-ish, I know, but Oh. So. Cute.

You've got a friend in me.

I got to spend some time with Micah today.  We were playing and I asked him if he would bring me some of his favorite toys.  I really didn't know what he would choose.  He brought me his  Night Bear,   Bear dog, Nax puppy and his Lighting McQueen slippers.  I asked him why he named his puppy Nax.  He told me that Uncle Ryan's dog is named Max and his puppy looks like him. He said that Max and Nax sound the same.  I am so happy that I had my camera with me to capture this sweet play time.

The friends I resolve to spend more time with.

I  never make New Years resolutions anymore because I usually break them around January 8th.  This year however, I do resolve to spend more time with these dear friends.   The party was great. I ate too much, laughed a lot and welcomed in the new year with lifelong buddies.
