Such sadness.
I volunteer in a first grade class one day a week. As I parked my car and waited to cross the street I watched parents walked their kids to class, holding hands and many kissed them goodbye. The class I help in were having their Christmas program today in the cafeteria. I had not yet heard of the terrible events that were unfolding in Connecticut until I got home and my son told me. A sick feeling swept over me and immediately thought about those parents who that very morning walked their kids to school holding their hands and kissing them goodbye, not knowing that would be their last time. I am not a real political person, but I somehow don't think the right bear arms means that someone can aim a semi automatic weapon at children. I also know that situations like this are "heart" issues and usually carried out by disturbed, unstable people, but the end result is no less tragic. We must certainly pray for the parents of those children as they grieve the loss of their precious babies.
