LOOK UP!

For the beauty of the earth,
For the glory of the skies
Lord of all to thee we raise,
This our hymn of grateful praise!

Fall has arrived in all her  beauty. This is the view from my yard.

The sky today was AMAZING

Chilly, breezy, clear...a sweatshirt, hot tea, cuddle kind of day. Take some time to look up and enjoy the beauty of autumn.

Our church has a halloween event for our community.  It is called Ashe Bash because our church is on Ashe Road.  Hard to tell how many people come, but there is an estimate that about 3000 people came this year. Here are a few photos of the day.

Pumpkin goo!

His face when he saw the pumpkin goo.
We had a visit from our "girly cousins" as Micah called them.  They were in California visiting family and friends and they came to visit us.  They live in Indiana. Wednesday is my Micah day so we decided to carve pumpkins.  It was such fun and he loved it until he saw the pumpkin goo at which time he decided to put "sparklies" on his pumpkin.  I helped him carve his pumpkin , now we are all ready for Halloween.  It was such a sweet visit with Laura and the girls.

Field Trip to the patch.

First try....he's a natural.

He could have done this all day.

Creepy pumpkin, glad he didn't  choose one of those.

The cutest pumpkin in the patch!

He found just the right one.
Micah's pre-school class took a field trip to the pumpkin patch.  I was asked to  accompany him, and I jumped for joy at the opportunity.  Even though it wasn't my beloved Banducci's, we had the best time!    Thanks Josh and Eliza for letting me take him.   He searched for "a tiny, little bitty pumpkin"  (his words).   So with pride we took it home.  The back of the pumpkin was covered in dirt.  When we got in the car he said to me..."Gramma when we get home will you wash the oatmeal off of my pumpkin.?"   I washed off the "oatmeal" and now the little bitty pumpkin is ready for his halloween debut.   BOO!

Pumpkin Love

The green pumpkin......  I love!

Here I am with my "one" sister, just not sayin which one

I would love to go "pickin" in this  barn.

3 of the 7 pumpkins I bought.

Isn't this tree just begging for a family photo?
I warned you all that I would be posting about Banducci's.  I went today and had the best time.  The place was nearly empty, and yes I did squeal like a little pink piggy at feedin' time.   This place just makes me so giddy.  If you get the chance you must go.  Really is the best patch in all the land.  HAPPY AUTUMN DAYS AND HAPPY PUMPKIN PICKIN'
