Dinosaur kisses

Yesterday Nick came over to play with Micah.    When he was leaving and giving goodbye hugs, Micah told him he wanted to give him a dinosaur kiss.

Here is the dinosaur kiss.

and another dinosaur kiss

Then silliness broke out.

and some cuteness.

I love these two guys.

Wintry, Windy Wednesday

To quote Winnie The Pooh  "It's a windy as a windstorm on a Wednesday..."
We look at his valentines.

We sang You Are My Sunshine.

Played hide and seek.

If you look closely you can see his finger.

He wanted to wear his penguin socks.  Where can he be??

We played monster.

"I'm not a scarry monster gramma"

Papa gave him piggy back rides.

We had a corn dog picnic on the floor.

Got the cars ready for a dance party.

When they were in a circle he said "Gramma time to rock and roll and have a dance party"

So we made the cars dance.
What to do on a blustery day.  I told Micah that we could not play outside because it was raining. That news didn't seem to bother him much.  The trash truck comes on Wednesday and when he hears he it runs full speed to the kitchen window, climbs up on a chair  and we watch the truck pick up cans and dump them.  We were at the window and the truck was coming.  He saw the rain on the window and said he didn't like the rain because it makes the window bumpy and he can't see the garbage truck very well. We spent the rainy day playing indoors.  I am not sure who had more fun, Micah or me.

Sweet spring....

I love how the dirt is on the petals from popping up out of the ground.
HYACINTH

PEONIES
Are you ready for spring..... these beauties sure are.  In our church nursery there is a mural on the wall that show flowers in different stages of growth... and under each picture is a saying that  goes..  " a seed was sowed,  a flower growed." The same can be said of my little garden.  These bulbs that were planted last fall cannot wait to show off their pretty faces.     Come on SPRINwe're ready.

He played "jumping stools"

We played with these guys a lot!

We played, and played and played.  Micah asked me if I could stay and play for 100 hours. This is how we spent our day.  Thank you Lord for this sweet boy.

While watching the Super Bowl, a craft broke out!

A lot of people spent the afternoon watching the game.  I thought that was the plan for my day, however, Debbie had a different idea and am I glad she did.  We took a trip to Michaels to gather our supplies to make this simple wreath (simple right Carol?) So after a few phone calls to family members to find out exactly what we would  need we bought a styrafoam wreath, yarn, felt and birdies. Arriving back to Debbie's house the guys were watching the game.  I later found out from my husband that they didn't even know we left until Larry ask where the girls were.  None of them heard us tell them we were leaving, SHOCKER!  We started wrapping our wreaths with yarn, and wrapping, and wrapping, and wrapping, made some felt flowers and the end result is a very cute wreath.  Fun times with fun friends.......oh yea,  who won the game?

Groundhog Day

Looking in the drain, because it could live there.

"I think I hear it gramma"

What Is This?( sorry for the grossness)

Taking a closer look, he said "is this groundhog poop, or maybe it came from a zebra"

"Look gramma I see my shadow too."
Micah and I were watching Nick Jr on Wednesday morning.  One of the cartoon people talked about a groundhog.  Micah asked me what  a groundhog was and so I told him, comparing it  to a mole, or gopher.  I told him that they live underground and pop up to eat bugs and look around and such.   About an hour later I asked him if he wanted to go out in the backyard and fly his planes and run around.  "Sure I do gramma and then we can look for the groundhog!"  I had even mentioned how if he saw his shadow that springtime would come soon.  Well, I could not pass up the chance to go groundhog hunting with him so I grab my camera and we went in search of the underground critter.  Oh how I love my Wednesdays with this boy!
