Nostalgia

I get nostalgic this time of year.  Putting up the Christmas tree, taking each ornament out and hanging it  on the tree.As I look at each one a flood of memories come to my mind.  I am also reminded as I look at each one that my sons are no longer little boys.  They are grown and starting families of their own.   Hopefully their trees will be full of these sweet little ornaments made with love by their children. Each year I hang them on my tree, and YES, they do come and look to see where they are.  Each one a gift that I treasure and they grow more dear to me each year.
Sorry this is sideways, forgot to rotate.  We still cannot figure out if this is a angel or a ghost. But a masterpiece non the less.

This was made by Josh when he was 5.  The painting really is good. I LOVE IT.  He also made a wreath out of shredded wheat cereal, but over the years it crumbled and I now longer have it. It did hang on my tree for many years. So sad that it is gone :(

What mom would not love this sweet face.  Ryan at 5 years old. He made this one in Sunday School.

This is also a favorite.  I think this one will last forever. I hope so.  Can't wait to show his children this.

Here is one that my grandson and I made last year.  His Christmas jammies and new tricycle I am so thankful for each one. Precious memories indeed.

When the sisters come for the weekend.

First of the hubby leaves town. They arrived Friday evening and we headed out to CALM holiday lights. We bundled up because BABYYYYYY it's cold outside.

Here we go.  This place just makes me happy.

All is CALM  all is not so bright.

Santa may never recover.

Had some warm hot chocolate.

Had a contest making ginger bread houses.. Nice and neat before the mayhem and foolishness.

Not bad..Sister 5

This is mine, before the collapse.

After the collapse, it became Santas village.

This one is made by the artist..can't you tell?

Sister #3, this one looks like an outhouse.
This one I love.

The gingerbread village.

Took cute little red for a Christmas ride.

We crafted. Had a fun weekend being silly sisters.  God has blessed me with these amazing women. I love each.
A white elephant gift exchange was HIlaRioUS.... photos to come.

These are a few of my favorite things..

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. Bright copper
kettles and warm woolen mittens.  I do like those thing

                                          favorite things (which I have.)
Santa punch bowl and cups.  I bought this years ago at an antique store.

Aqua ball jars filled with little glittery ornaments.

My newest collection...Lori Mitchell figures.  They are a goofy looking bunch, but I have a fond attraction to them.. They really are adorable.
My 5 dollar after Christmas sale last year.  Who doesn't love this?

These little red boots were my husbands when he was a wee tot.  LOVE THEM.

My favorite Nativity.

Just need to add this above the Nativity.

Fall fun with a funny four year old.

.Take a chilly, fall morning, add a pretty fall tree, one papa, one gramma and one silly boy.  Give his daddy a camera and silliness happens.
Right before the silliness broke out.......

He thought this was HiLARious

He thought this was so funny to cover my eyes.

Silly, fun, boy.  Makes me laugh.
I am thankful for him and
his silliness.
