Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers

Leave it to me to make a simple project more difficult than it should be.

I was asked if I would make a crib bumper.  "SURE, I said, NO PROBLEM."

I have a very limited knowledge of sewing, but this didn't seem like it would be any big deal.

I bought the pattern, took out the instructions that were 15 pages long and printed in french and spanish and english, I guess for the bi-lingual sewer.  I studied the english direction which made no sense and then thought that perhaps the french or spanish directions would be clearer. NOT.  I immediately called my bestest friend who can do anything in the world. She came to my rescue and talked me though it.  Together we cut, sewed, ripped-out and stuffed until our project was complete. I love how it turned out, just hope the new parents will also.

Here is Nellie, (yes, I named my sewing machine). She did all the grunt work.

Tools, tools and more tool, Notice I have 2 seam rippers.  I used them both, because I usually make twice as many mistakes.

What is a good seamstress without an iron and spraystarch? One with many wrinkles. (The fabric, not the seamstress.)

More sewing stuff.  I really do need a cute sewing basket. These plastic containers do the job, but UGLY to look at.
