Say YES to VBS

A wild and crazy week of Vacation Bible School.
Recreation time.

This balloon game was hilarious to watch.

On your mark,  get set,  GO

These kids were so cute playing this game.

I teach some of these kids in Sunday School and I have decided that trying to contol
a mob of 4 and 5 year olds is like trying to wrangle cats.

The theme this year Amazing Wonders.
Amazing God. Awesome Power.
Ace, the pilot and Joe, the mechanic.

Music time.   I have also decided that after many times watching my grandson
perform on stage that it is something that DOES NOT like to do.  He does it
anyway.  Much to his grammas delight.  Kind of like, you can bring a horse to water
but you can't make him drink scenerio.

These kiddos are into it.

See, he has his dramatic moments.

He even makes up his own motions.
Flashing his I LOVE YOU sign to his momma.

These are photos of the finale last night.

A lot of kids, a lot of parents.

Joe and Ace

495 kids. A week full of fun and learning God's word.

Sum, Sum, Summertime

What I love about summetime. FRUIT. I could eat it all day. This past 2 weeks my hubby and I have eaten 2 watermelons, a box of peaches from Costco, 3 cantalopes and too my grapes to even count.  So very refreshing on these hot summer days.
I was looking for my star cookie cutter because of the 4th of July and all, but could only find the heart.
Well, I do LOVE my country and watermelon.

Cherries.  the cheery cherry. Sweet, delcious and cute.

Does anyone remember drinking Bosco?

I was at World Market yesterday and saw this.  I think you have to be over 50 to even remember
Bosco. The girl who waited on me asked me what it was. My reply.....Ummm, just the greatest stuff ever.   It most certainly had to come home with me.
I guess putting Bosco in my milk sort of cancels out the healthy eating.

But it was a delicious addition to my meal.

How I spent my summer vacation.

That's right.  We went to Hume Lake.

I spent some time sitting in these cute chairs.

Looking at this beautiful view.

I saw this view a time or two.

Could not get enough of this.

I just thought these turquoise seats in the boat were cute.

Apparently a mother does like all her ducks in a row.

My family, hammocking.

Spent time with the people I love most.

Rock climbing.

Just could not pass up this photo op.

Searching for bugs on a walk.

Getting back from a boat ride.

If I had to choose a canoe, I would choose this cute green one.
Just a quick glimpse of my vacation and the 200 pictures I took.

Here's your sign.

My 4 1/2 year old grandson flashed this sign at me yesterday.  He told me this means I love you gramma. I asked him to do it again so that I could take a picture.  He does not like to have his picture taken, so the fact that he did as I asked means he really does love me!  I promised him that I would only take a picture of his hand, this hand FULL of LOVE.
He really does love me. I love him too.

Another day, another antique show.

San Luis Obispo vintage antique show this weekend.

Chalked full of retro, vintage and super cute things. A bit on the pricey end. Some of the items
were wayyyyy out of my price point.  I did however find a few things that just had to come with me.

Look at the cute fabric streamers that lined the stairs. I LOVE THEM. What a great idea to decorate any event.

Talk about eye candy.  So many cute things.  I could have bought something in every
space.  Aren't these blue chairs cute?

I was going to get one of these red chalkboard cabinet doors.  I walked away and came
back to get one and they were all gone  :(   oh the sadness...

More cute chairs.  I loved the glass pickle jar on the shelf, but too pricey.

I am madly in love with these medal hearts.  One followed me right to the car.

I would have never bought this cute cottage cheese sign but I loved the colors
Check out the price.   really????

More cute metal hearts.

A shout out for some green ladder love.  I parked myself in front of it until
I called my sister and she found me.  I thought she needed it and luckily it went home with her.

I didn't know what these were until I ask.  They are olive buckets. I think they would make
cute trash cans.

I am madly in love with the blue and white numbers unfortunately they were a bit
much $$$$.  Aren't they cute.  I thought they would be so cute with the
year of our wedding.

Here is her car full of our treasures.  You do notice the green ladder?
Yes, it went to a good home.
